Manufacturing Technician
Concepts and Methods Company (CAMCO) is seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Technician for our busy production warehouse. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical or construction experience. This job is well suited to be a long-term position for the right candidate; we offer a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
Responsibilities and Duties - Produce detailed, high quality custom metal parts using a variety of techniques
→ Drilling holes, grinding, cutting various materials, painting and cleaning
- Follow standard operating procedures and checklists to complete tasks independently and in a timely manner
- Maintain shop inventories of consumables, hardware and production components
- Adhere to all safety guidelines as trained, relating to manufacturing and COVID-19 procedures
- Utilize a variety of tools safely to assist in production process:
→ Drill press, Calipers, Hand grinder, Jigsaw, Chop Saw, Bandsaw and more
- Work efficiently while wearing protective equipment, including but not limited to:
→ Mask, face shield (or safety glasses), gloves, and safety boots
Qualifications and Skills - Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safe manufacturing procedures required
- Good written/oral communication skills
- Team-oriented to work within small manufacturing unit
- Ability to make accurate measurements and use basic math required
- Able to read or learn to work from mechanical drawings
- Mill, lathe, and welding experience or interest a plus (training possible)
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, high voltage electricity and compressed gasses
- Willingness to learn new fabrication and prototyping skills
- Must have valid California drivers’ license with good driving record
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to lift 30 pounds, and push/pull 50 pounds
- High school diploma/GED preferred
Compensation and Benefits Package - Salary range based on experience. Minimum starting salary $30-40/hr
